Wildside Lodges - Facilities

Northern Lights over WildsideThe two bedroom lodges are all situated along the river and enjoy private lawns to the riverbank. The spacious one bedroom lodges ideal for couples, are situated in the centre of the grounds and are set well apart in large lawns. Guests can wander on paths to the waters edge where there is a small beach, popular for barbecues, or a picnic table on the riverbank. Our newly built luxury three bedroom log cabin style lodges have open views to the mountains and are situated on the fringe of the holiday park in their own private grounds.

There is an outside light at each lodge but no street lights so bring a torch for winter months. That way there is no light pollution and you may be amazed at what you might see in the clear Scottish night skies - "Northern Lights" (above).

WildsideThe Reception in the grounds is open during office hours for help and advice for our holiday guests. We stock maps, guides for local walks around South Loch Ness and a wide range of information on local venues and events, menus for restaurants etc. There is a payphone, always accessible, where for example the Doctor’s number is displayed. Next to Reception there is a central laundry facility with modern washing machine and dryer available to visitors to Wildside.

wild Primroses abound200 metres from your holiday chalets up the road a country pub has a restaurant and serves bar meals. There is a village shop at Foyers, 3 miles by road, and the Waterfall Café situated as the name implies above the famous Falls of Foyers, serves delicious meals and snacks. Fort Augustus has two small supermarkets, several shops, restaurants and bars, some on the Caledonian Canal locks. Inverness has major supermarkets, open 24 hours, an excellent modern shopping centres, road rail and air links and a number of car hire companies.
